Supervises the preparation of proposal and contract design calculations, drawings, and other engineering documentation using standards and/or new methods as required. Supervises the preparation of contract information (CI) sheets and/or BEDD sheets based on calculations and organization standards. Assures the technical quality of work performed by subordinates. Reviews and approves drawings and other engineering documentation for compliance with CI sheet and/or BEDD sheet requirements, codes, and standards. Prepares or supervises the preparation of technical specifications for purchased equipment. Coordinates and interfaces with equipment suppliers. Prepares or supervises the preparation of technical evaluations of supplier's proposals. Serves as technical expert within the organization. Works effectively and communicates with customers, other technical disciplines, and the organization's project management team. Assures that all work on assigned projects is timely, accurate and high quality. Occasional domestic and/or international travel is required.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Possesses well-developed knowledge of Mechanical Engineering principles and practices. Experience with engineered process equipment and piping components is desirable. Comprehensive knowledge of the organization's technology in general and knowledge and understanding of how the Mechanical/Piping work integrates into a complete project. 7+ years of related engineering experience. Familiarity with ASME and API codes is a plus. Experience in sulfur recovery plant design required.
