Civil/Structural (Design Technician - Designer 5)

Applies extensive and diversified knowledge of design principles and practices and extensive 2D and/or 3D CAD knowledge and skills.   Makes technical design decisions. Applies advanced CAD techniques and methods.  Suggests, justifies and implements improvements and creative solutions for problems. May serve as a Lead Designer on a small project with few technical complexities, planning and technically supervising the design activities. Or may serve as an individual contributor role, developing drawings, designs and creative solutions for problems.

Must possess an Associate's degree and/or post high school training in Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CAD). Fully competent and knowledgeable about design/drafting principles and practices with extensive and comprehensive knowledge in area(s) of specialization and working knowledge of the design of the organization's technologies in general. Work requires a good understanding of how Civil/Structural design integrates into and impacts the complete project. In-depth knowledge of Microstation. Frameworks experience is a plus. 7+ years of design/drafting experience.
