Civil/Structural (Engineer 5)

Applies extensive and comprehensive knowledge of Civil/Structural Engineering principles and practices to the organization's products and services. Plans, schedules and conducts broad and/or technically complex engineering assignments requiring judgment, independent evaluation, selection and significant adaptation and deviation from standard techniques and procedures.  Develops, plans, evaluates and recommends solutions for difficult problems. Assignments are broadly defined.  Work is performed and decisions are made independently.  Serves as a technical expert in meetings with customers and vendors.  Travels to project meetings and job sites as necessary. Routinely suggests, justifies and implements improvements and creative solutions for problems. May serve as the Lead Engineer responsible for technical, scheduling and budgeting matters pertaining to the assigned project. Skill requirements include excellent written and oral skills and the ability to organize, plan, assign and coordinate tasks.

Candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or Masters of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering. Should be a recognized expert with comprehensive knowledge in Civil/Structural,with a well-developed knowledge of general engineering principles and practices.  Working knowledge of the organization's technology and knowledge and understanding of how the Civil/Structural discipline integrates into a complete project. 10+ years of related engineering experience is required.
