BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering Technology with 6+ years of relevant experience an be able to work in Canada. Have proven rotating equipment expeerience, with demonstrated experience as an on-site Lead Mechanical or Lead Rotating Equipment Engineer on projects with an E&C company, owner/operating company, construction company or comparable experience with a manufacturer of mechanical/ rotating equipment company. Have comprehenisive knowledge in the field of Rotating & Static Mechanical Equipment, as it applies to the selection and application of equipment to Oil & Gas/ Chemical/ LNG Regasification/ and Petrochemical Process Units; with special emphasis on Oil Refinery type units and LNG Regasification terminals. Candidate's primary function will be to withness and inspect the installation of numerous and various equipments contained in the Mechanical Installation Package for the Project and work diligently to ensure the Client's and FW's expectations are met. Candidate will report to the on-site Constrution Mgr from Foster Wheeler Houston, and interact with both construction and vendor contractors. Should be familiar with the Onshore F.E.E.D. documents as well as contracts for this project, review and make comments on vendor data submissions, administer Non-Conformity Reports (NCR), respond to Site Engineering Queries (SEQ), witness installation and testing of equipment including corresponding reports, understand and apply all pertinent specifications form FW/ Contractor & Client and mentor Jr. Client Engineer(s) as necessary. Should have excellent communication skills & qualities: ability to meet deadlines, successfull completion of deliverables, good time management, analytical, thorough, resourceful, detail-oriencted, team player, self-motivated, & flexible, able to work with all cultures and personalities, and have a sense of humor. Should have an understanding and approve assignment terms and conditions for the project and be able to work through project completion after which the candidate shall be re-assigned to FW Houston office. Mechanical completion is anticipated to be the year end 2008. |
